As the weather cools down, Yuzu is turning up the heat on connection. This cuffing season, the dating app for the Asian community teamed up with Chubby Group, the hospitality collective behind cult-favorite spots like Niku X

, Chubby Cattle, and The X Pot, to celebrate the season of togetherness—through laughter, storytelling, and shared meals.

The partnership brings to life a nationwide holiday campaign designed to move Gen Z daters from scrolling to showing up. Blending digital storytelling and real-world experiences, Yuzu x Chubby Group’s “Cuffing Season” campaign celebrates intentional dating and the joy of IRL connection.

Cuffing Season Comes to Life: LA & Brooklyn Events

To celebrate the launch, Yuzu and Chubby Group hosted immersive watch-party screenings in Los Angeles and Brooklyn, where guests gathered to toast to connection—both onscreen and off.

NIKU LA Premiere (October 23, 2025)

Held at Niku X in downtown Los Angeles, guests enjoyed an early screening of Episode 1, “Cuffing Up,” while sipping on the limited-edition Yuzu Cosmopolitan (a gooseberry, strawberry, and shiso twist on the classic) and sharing bites from Niku X LA. The room buzzed with energy as conversations flowed naturally—proof that dating dialogue can be both fun and meaningful.

ACE Hotel Brooklyn Screening (November 17, 2025)

A month later, Yuzu brought the conversation to the East Coast at Ace Hotel Brooklyn. With the warm glow of the theater lights and the hum of anticipation, guests settled in for a preview of Episode 2, “Friendsgiving, But Make It Extra.” Afterward, the cast and audience dove into a panel discussion that echoed the campaign’s heart: intentional dating.

Prompts like:

💭 How do you know when you’ve caught feelings for someone?

💭 Do you think love is more about timing or the right person?

💭 How do you show your intentions when dating someone?

… sparked lively conversation about modern love, vulnerability, and authenticity. What started as thought starters quickly became real dialogue—laughter, honesty, and a little collective introspection filling the room.

The Yuzu Cosmopolitan: A Toast to Real-World Connections

From now through December 15, the Yuzu Cosmopolitan is available at Niku X (NYC & LA), The X Pot (Las Vegas), and Wagyu House (Atlanta). Yuzu users can redeem it for free through the Chubby Club app, encouraging daters to take their matches offline and clink glasses in person. A non-alcoholic version keeps everyone in on the fun—because connection is the only buzz that really matters.

Friendsgiving, IRL Dinners & Gifting Season

Beyond the screenings, Yuzu and Chubby Group are extending the celebration through Friendsgiving dinners hosted by Asian creators and community partners. These intimate gatherings are meant to spark the same kind of open, honest conversations that make dating meaningful.

To spread the cheer even further, both brands are sending out Cuffing Season Starter Kits—complete with co-branded long-sleeve jerseys, Yuzu-scented candles, and drink redemption cards—to influencers and press, along with 20 public giveaways for fans.

More Than Matches: A Movement Toward Meaningful Connection

This campaign is more than a seasonal activation—it’s a celebration of how food, culture, and conversation bring people closer. “Cuffing season isn’t just about finding someone to keep you warm,” says Cindy Lim, Head of Brand at Yuzu. “It’s about showing up with intention—online and offline—and rediscovering the joy of connection.”

Whether through a laugh shared over a sitcom episode, a Yuzu Cosmopolitan at Niku X, or a thought-provoking conversation with a stranger-turned-friend, the Cuffing Season campaign reminds us all that love starts with being present.
